In this video I recreate Combo's boombox that is always firmly attached to his shoulder as he inline skates through Tokyo in Jet Grind Radio for the Dreamcast, and Jet Set Radio Future on Xbox. I make the entire thing from supplies just sourced at Michael's Arts and Crafts. The total cost set me back about $12.00.
All of the coloring is done with EVA foam, except for the silver portions which are painted. the structure is made from choraplast plastic and served to make this an incredibly lightweight prop. If you had to carry this around for a convention you'd hardly notice it.
I'm still looking for other props to make from the game so leave your suggestions in the comments below! Or suggest a different prop I should make.
