#1 - Always make sure you put through a Soap Calculator before using! I Soaped this formula at 35% lye liquid and Super Fatted at 8%. (5% upfront and 3% after the cook) Used Sodium Lactate at 5% of oils. This was a 2lb batch.
Almond Oil - 6%
Babassu Oil - 8%
Camellia Seed Oil - 7%
Castor Oil - 14%
Murumuru Butter - 4%
Olive Oil - 16%
Palm Oil - 23%
Soybean, fully hydrogenated soy wax - 3%
Tallow (Beef) - 19%
This will give you numbers of: 39 Hardness, 10 Cleansing (drying/stripping), 59 Conditioning, 23 Bubbly, 42 Creaminess, 60 Iodine, and INS of 139.
The lye liquid amount for this 2lb batch, at 35% lye liquid, was 11.2 ounces of liquid. I used 7.2 ounces of Aquafaba Chickpea Water and 1 ounce of Aloe Vera Juice to mix my lye, I added 3 ounces of coconut milk hot after the cook. 2 Tbsp yogurt, room temp after cook, 2 heaping Tbsp honey/Kombucha, warm after cook and after Temp was under 175F.
2 Tbsp sugar mixed with 2 Tbsp of Avj, completely dissolved and added hot after the cook. 5% Sodium lactate added warm after the cook (SL is used as a hardener in this, but a bonus is that SL is great for aging skin and is a lovely humectants. !) Enjoy!
