The majority of cases remain in the city of Wuhan in central China's Hubei province, where the virus originated. The spread of the previously unknown coronavirus has seen nearly a dozen cities in Hubei impose travel restrictions, and popular tourist spots in mainland China have been closed over the Lunar New Year holidays in an effort to contain it. Hong Kong authorities have also taken extra measures, including closing two theme parks and extending school holidays.
