Tony Blair has said he would not sign a trans rights pledge that is backed by Labour leadership candidates Rebecca Long-Bailey and Lisa Nandy. Labour peer Lord Adonis agrees: "As a party leader you shouldn't go around signing pledges. It makes you look like subordinates and that you're not in charge."
Mayor of London Ken Livingstone: "Tony Blair achieved quite a lot but he made some disastrous mistakes like the Iraq War. But his biggest error was not to shift the balance of wealth in our country. In the last 40 years almost all the wealth that is created goes to the top, and it's got even worse over the last few years."
