It was simply a matter of time. That was the damning assessment delivered by a Queensland coroner who investigated the 2016 Dreamworld tragedy. The coroner found a 'systemic failure' to follow safety procedures contributed to the deaths of four people.
They were killed when a ride malfunctioned at the theme park.
If prosecuted, Dreamworld's owners could be fined millions of dollars.
But that's of little comfort to the families who are still mourning the loss of their loved ones.
