Drug abuse and other substance abuse is on the rise in Nigeria. According to Quartz Africa, 15% of the adult population in Nigeria (around 14.3 million people) reported a “considerable level” of use of psychoactive drug substances—it’s a rate much higher than the 2016 global average of 5.6% among adults.
We were on the street, to find out from the people, what are the cause of the sudden increase in drug abuse and other substances.
Some of the effects of drug abuse, to mention a few, are #psychosis and in some cases #death.
