Subscribe to our channel! rupt.ly/subscribe Authorities have shut down public transport including the airport and train station on Thursday in the Chinese city of Wuhan, where the coronavirus outbreak originated, for fear of spreading the virus, trying to keep its 11 million residents inside city borders.
Footage shows travellers at Wuhan's train station wearing respiratory masks hours before the lockdown.
China extended the travel ban from Wuhan to Huanggang and Ezhou which will affect roughly 20 million people.
There are 570 confirmed cases of the newly emerging coronavirus which killed at least 17 people, with cases spreading over the country and as well as to South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and recently the US.
