Shadow Foreign Secretary, Emily Thornberry is running to be the next leader of the Labour Party after Jeremy Corbyn said he would not lead the party into another election after they suffered their worst defeat since 1935 in the General Election last year.

Corbyn’s successor is set to be named on April 4th and Emily says the prospect of becoming the first female leader of the Labour Party could prove an advantage when campaigning.

She also shares her personal story of growing up with financial difficulties and states that she still has chips on both of her shoulders because of it.
