The 1p29 was a Soviet direct copy of the British Trilux SUIT scope, which later turned into the SUSAT unit on top of L85A1 rifles. Nowadays the 1p29 is no longer common, but had still been seen in modern engagements in Crimea and Chechnya... with it's 400m zero range for a 5.45 rifle.
How much sense does this setup have? Why even bother? How cold and rainy does it get on the 9HR range?
HUGE thanks to Nick G. for loaning us the otherwise difficult to source scope!
