Pet Bed/Pillow Instructions & Materials:
My Finished Piece - 15" x 22.5"
Patchwork piece - 15.5" x 50.5"
Lining/Backing - 15.5" x 50.5"
Fusible/Batting - 17" x 52" (trim after quilting)
Inner pillow fabric - 14.5" x 44.5" or two pieces 14.5" x 22.5"
Plenty of little scraps for stuffing
1) Piece/sew scrappy patchwork until you can fill your fusible/batting piece.
2) Place your lining and patchwork, right sides together and sew only the short ends. Flip right side out, top-stitch along the seam and then quilt your layers together. Alternatively, place lining and patchwork piece together wrong sides and quilt, then bind the short edges to finish.
3) With wrong side/lining side out, fold short ends in and overlap approx 3" and sew along both longer sides. Flip right sides out and poke out corners.
4) With right sides together sew inner pillow together leaving an opening to turn and stuff. After turning right sides out, stuff with enough little fabric or batting scraps to reach desired fluff. Sew opening shut.
5) Stuff your pillow inside your cover and you or your pet enjoy!
