In US news and current events today, Ireland announced that is would give paid sick leave to all to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. In addition, Ireland has canceled all St. Patrick's Day parades & festivals in an aggressive effort to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.

Up to 60% of the Irish population could contract the virus, officials warned. Democrats have called on Trump to implement immediate paid sick leave. The U.S. is one of the few wealthy nations without laws requiring employers to give workers who are sick paid time off. Most Republicans oppose such law.
