For any copyright, please send me a message.  One person has died and five more have been injured in a horror train crash in South Africa this evening.  According to emergency services, the tragedy happened in Horizon, west of Johannesburg.  Pictures from the scene show derailed carriages.  It is not yet known how many people were onboard when the crash happened, but a number are understood to have been trapped inside following the collision.  Emergency services spokesman Russel Meiring told News24: "Initial reports from the scene show that one person has sustained fatal injuries, while approximately five other people have sustained minor to moderate injuries."  Have you been affected by this story? Email webnews@mirror.co.uk  It is not yet known what caused the crash, which happened at 9.20pm local time.  Injured passengers are being taken to hospital.  The South African ambulance service, ER24, posted on Twitter: "Reports of one critically injured patient was found lying trapped inside the one train."  The crash between two trains is thought to have caused severe damage to the train line.  Video posted on social media shows passengers being led to safety.  It is claimed that the majority of passengers on the train are tourists, but this is yet to be confirmed.  Journalist Jamaine Krige wrote on Twitter: "Local authorities will investigate the circumstances surrounding a train crash that left 1 dead and at least 5 injured.  "Emergency services are on the scene in Horizon View, West of Johannesburg, where the passenger train and goods train collided."
