ABOUT THE FAMILY CHURCH:

WE EXIST TO HELP ALL PEOPLE DISCOVER FAMILY IN CHRIST.

Discovering family in Christ means knowing God as Father and His followers as brothers and sisters. It means having a relationship with the Creator of the universe that gives you a purpose on earth. It means finding your place among the people who have committed their lives to share God's love. It means working together to please God and serve others with everything we do and say. It means always being welcome at The Family Church.

God wants to have a relationship with each person. Those who don't know God personally are far from Him, but they can draw closer to God because of the sacrifice made by His Son. A disciple of God learns more about Him and obeys His instructions so that others will see God's love and join God's family as well. As more people come to know God, the kingdom of God grows.

Sunday mornings at a new church can be intimidating for anyone. We want you to feel welcome here at TFC, so on Sundays, we ask you to come as you are. There's no dress code. There's no age requirement. There's no amount of knowledge about the Bible that you must have to join us. Just come as you are, and know that you can find a home here.

Our services are all about coming together to focus on God. We generally begin with a time of singing and prayer and then move into the message. Whether this is your first time or your 50th time, we would love to have you join us.

OUR BELIEFS:
THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is God’s Holy Word and the basis for all our beliefs. It was fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and written without error in the original manuscripts. It is the final authority in all matters relating to faith and life and the standard for our doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness.

GOD
We believe there is one Almighty God, who is sovereign, infinite, and perfect in power, wisdom, justice, goodness, and love. He is the Creator of the world, and He eternally exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

GOD THE SON - JESUS CHRIST
We believe in Jesus Christ’s eternal existence as God, His incarnation by means of the virgin birth, His perfect life, His death on the cross as the substitutionary atonement for sin, His literal, bodily resurrection and ascension, His present ministry of intercession in heaven, and His personal return to earth.

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit reveals and glorifies Jesus Christ. He convicts men of their sins, draws them to God, and imparts unto them new life. He indwells believers and seals them until the day of redemption. He gives them spiritual gifts for ministry and empowers them to live a life pleasing to God.

MAN
We believe God created Adam innocent and in His own image. Man chose to sin by disobeying God and was therefore separated from his Creator. Since then, all human beings are totally depraved by nature, born in sin, unable to save themselves, and in need of the eternal salvation that only God, through Jesus Christ, can bestow upon them.

SALVATION
We believe that salvation is by grace, a free gift of God apart from works. Salvation involves justification, sanctification, and glorification. Salvation comes through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who gives us assurance of our salvation. Those God saves are born again by the Holy Spirit and thus become His children. Genuine salvation will be manifested by faith and repentance – a changed life.

SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
We believe in the personal, visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to earth and in the bodily resurrection of the believer to heaven and the unbeliever to hell.

THE CHURCH
We believe all true believers make up the family of God worldwide and should assemble themselves in local congregations for worship, prayer, fellowship, teaching, and ministry centered around the Great Commission of our Lord.

BAPTISM & THE LORD’S SUPPER
We believe Christians should be baptized as a testimony of their new birth and regularly partake of the Lord’s Supper, which is a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s death on the cross.
