For creating dependent drop down, we used #namedrange , #datavalidation , #indirect formula, #iferror formula, #vlookup formula and #formattable .

You can use this option on all excel versions: excel 2005, excel 2010, excel 2013, excel 2016 and office365.

By using INDIRECT function, we created a dependent dropdown in excel.

By using VLOOKUP formula, we created a lookup value and got the appraisal percentage.

By using IFERROR formula, we avoided the unwanted #N/A error in excel.
