How to choose your branch? | NEET PG 2020 | Dr. Bhatia Videos | DBMCI This video briefly tells you about how to which branch to Opt. One thing keep in mind you have to pursue that branch throughout your life. We may compromise with the degree / College but not with the branch if you have passion, consult with your parents, Consult with anyone you like.
If you are flexible with the branch, Then you can compare between MD/MS and DNB. Comparison is as followed
Point 1 - MD/MS (Myths) - it is far better than DNB. Now DNB is somewhat equivalent to MD/MS in terms of Govt. Exams, Private practice, Work in corporate / UPSC / AFMC / DM / Mch.
Differences -
1. MD/MS from govt. colleges will provide you far better stipend than DNB
2. MD/MS has far better academics
3. In MD/MS Your exit exam will be in your college, You will having a familiar environment Whereas The exit Exam in DNB will be away from the main Hospital which is having a lesser passing Percentage.
Wait Wait the main difference is if you are working as a teaching faculty in Medical College
If you have done Primary DNB of 3 years, It is not counted equivalent to MD/MS. to make it equivalent to MD/MS, one has to do 1 year JR ship from an MCI(Medical council on India) Recognized Hospital + 1 year SR ship.
If you have done it from Secondary DNB, gain you have to give NEET. You have to do additional years of SR ship (1 Year if you have done DNB from a 100- 500 Bedded hospital and 2 years if you have done DNB from hospital with less than 100 bedded hospital. #DBMCI #counselling #Dreambranch
