CM BSY Has Instructed The Mayor & BBMP To Form Special Committee For Estimating The Cost Of Projects

In an effort to ease the financial burden on BBMP, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has instructed the mayor and BBMP commissioner to form a special committee for estimating the cost of projects. The special committee will estimate the cost of the project before floating the tender by the civic body.

Earlier BBMP used to engage private companies for estimation of projects, the private companies allegedly colluded with contractors and doubled the estimation and thereby caused huge financial loss for BBMP. Moreover the BBMP also paid crores of rupees as fees for these private companies.

Now the Chief Minister has put a break on this and instructed the mayor and commissioner to form a committee
