Atwima Mponua district wants government to intensify galamsey fight | Citi Newsroom

Residents of Atwima Mponua have revealed that unregulated mining activities have been ongoing in the area leaving River Offin and three others heavily polluted, while others have been diverted and almost ruined.

During a visit to some of the sites, illegal miners, including women and children were seen engaging in their activities with excavators and other equipment.

Concerned residents are thus asking the government to intensify the fight against the canker.
