2020 Proton X70 to come with 7-speed DCT and 1.8 TGDI with 300Nm | EvoMalaysia.com

Recently, I flew to China to visit a Geely plant in Ningbo where they are making a new 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

A fully in-house design, the new wet clutch DCT will be fitted in the upcoming Proton X70 CKD due to be introduced soon.

Mated to the transmission is the familiar 1.8-litre turbo direct injection petrol engine from the petrol model, but with torque increased from 285 to 300Nm.
