Bomb squad officials are briefing the NSG about the operation and the kind of which was detonated.

A Live bomb was found in an abandoned bag right near the ticket counter at Mangaluru airport. The unattended bag caught the attention of the passengers who quickly informed the airport authorities. Cops were called in immediately to the spot, they acted swiftly and carried the bomb a few kms away from the airport where it was successfully defused. The investigation is currently underway, the cops are scrutinizing the CCTV footage and trying to establish the motive behind the incident.
